But also by itself very useful since you can assign him to your front line meat shield to absorb the damage and repair itself for free in the next few turns. Even more bonus points if you can combine him with Field repair.įield repair (vehicle repairs one strength point per turn that it did not attack): Bonus points if you can pull it of in a chokepoint and if you can place a tank with the AT support hero assigned to it next to him. Watch in enjoyment how the enemy armor melts at your gunline. Slap him on a tank, park the tank in your frontline and support it with a load of AT. Provocator (adjacent enemies can't attack other units except the provocator): That would prevent people from getting too lucky with heroes and the game getting to easy because you're too overpowered.
Maybe it would help if the hero system would be changed to every hero can only be unlocked once in one run and that the stronger ones could not be unlocked before you reach later campaigns (for example 1.5x attack not before nord africa/barbarossa. A lot of units with completely different strategies if you get the right heroes.īut I guess they kind of have to be limited in some way. In general I think heroes add alot of flavour to the game. I didn't get the really broken stuff like rapid fire, zero slots or no retaliation up to now.
